Each client that decides to enter into a therapeutic relationship with
Kristie Pfaff, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, is considered a unique
human being with unique life experiences. Treatment goals are to be
individualized and achieved by assisting my clients to develop an
awareness of his or her own dysfunctional thought patterns and
behaviors. The ultimate goal of my counseling services is to empower
my clients, helping them make a leap of faith to try new, healthier
coping skills.
Successful treatment means my clients have developed a strong
sense of self worth and the ability to regulate mood and feelings
without engaging in self destructive behaviors. Since I have
experienced my own battles with eating disorders, substance abuse,
and depression and ultimately overcame them, I now have the
education and personal experience to give back to the community by
helping others through their own process of self discovery and
recovery. My therapeutic style is gentle and compassionate in a strong
way, while tempered by an easy sense of humor.
